Planting Tips

Plant in average to lean, well-drained soil. Space 18–24 inches apart. Water thoroughly after planting. Good drainage is essential- stonecrop will not tolerate wet or poorly drained soil.

Care Tips

Water regularly after planting; once established it is highly drought tolerant and requires very little supplemental watering. Cut back dead stems in early spring before new growth emerges. Divide every 3–4 years in spring when clumps become crowded. No fertilization is generally needed- lean soil produces the best growth. The silvery-blue foliage with red-tipped edges provides attractive year-round interest even before the flowers appear. Largely pest-free.
