Steel the Show Stonecrop

Plant in average to lean, well-drained soil. Space 18–24 inches apart. Water thoroughly after planting. Good drainage is essential- stonecrop will not tolerate wet or poorly drained conditions.

Water regularly after planting; once established it is highly drought tolerant. Cut back dead stems in early spring before new growth emerges. Divide every 3–4 years in spring when clumps become crowded. No fertilization needed- lean soil produces the best, most compact growth. The steel-blue foliage and deep rose-pink flowers in late summer and fall are a striking combination. The flower heads age to russet and persist attractively through winter. Largely pest-free.
