Planting and Care Guide

Planting Tips

Plant in average to lean, well-drained soil. Space 15–18 inches apart. Water thoroughly after planting. Good drainage is essential- stonecrop will not tolerate wet or poorly drained conditions.

Care Tips

Water regularly after planting; once established it is highly drought tolerant. Cut back dead stems in early spring before new growth emerges. Divide every 3–4 years in spring when clumps become crowded. No fertilization needed in lean soil. Largely pest-free. The soft, peach-toned flower heads in late summer add a warm, gentle color to the late season border. The flower heads age to russet and persist attractively through winter, providing extended ornamental interest.
