Fireworks Goldenrod

Plant in average to lean, well-drained soil. Space 24–30 inches apart. Water thoroughly after planting. Lean conditions produce the best, most compact growth- avoid rich or wet soils.

Water regularly after planting; once established it is highly drought tolerant. Pinch stem tips back in late spring to encourage a more compact, branching plant and reduce the need for staking. Cut to the ground in late fall or early spring. Divide every 3–4 years in spring when clumps become crowded. No fertilization needed. The arching, fountain-like sprays of golden-yellow flowers in late summer and fall are exceptional for pollinators and cutting. Largely pest-free and deer resistant.
