Care Tips

Water regularly after planting; once established it is moderately drought tolerant. Deadhead or shear back lightly to maintain continuous bloom throughout the summer and fall. Largely treated as an annual in cold climates; may overwinter with heavy mulch in milder areas. Fertilize lightly in spring and midsummer. Watch for powdery mildew in humid conditions- good air circulation helps reduce pressure. The round, brightly colored flower heads on tidy, compact plants are excellent for borders and containers.
