Plant Yellow Wild Indigo in well-drained soil with full sun exposure. Space plants 2-3 feet apart to allow for growth. Water regularly during the first growing season to establish a deep root system, then reduce watering as the plant becomes drought-tolerant. Prune dead stems in late winter or early spring to encourage new growth. Fertilization is generally unnecessary, as the plant thrives in poor soils.
