Planting and Care Guide

Planting Tips

Plant in spring or fall in fertile, well-drained soil, spacing 3–4 feet apart. Dig a wide, generous planting hole and amend with compost. Water deeply after planting and apply 2–3 inches of mulch around the base, keeping mulch away from the canes. Select a site with good air circulation to help keep foliage dry and minimize disease.

Care Tips

Prune in early spring, removing dead wood and reducing healthy canes by about one-third. Deadhead spent blooms regularly throughout the season to encourage the continuous reblooming these English roses are known for. Fertilize every four to six weeks during the growing season with a rose-specific fertilizer. Water consistently at the base of the plant. A beautiful addition to the classic English rose collection.
