Pairs well with

Apricot Drift® Rose opens double flowers in a soft warm apricot, a color that sits between the pinks and the oranges and reads warm from a distance. Rosa 'Meimirrote' grows about 18 inches tall and spreads 2.5 feet in full sun, hardy from Zone 4 through Zone 11.

Bloom is continuous from mid-spring until frost, with no deadheading required since the flowers drop cleanly.

Drift roses are a cross between full-size groundcover roses and miniature roses, bred to stay low and spread wide while blooming continuously. They were developed to fill the awkward spots: hillsides, narrow strips along a walk, the front edge of a bed, containers. All of them are self-cleaning, disease resistant, and need no deadheading.

The plant mounds low and wide with glossy foliage to the ground, which suits an edging, a bank, or a container. Disease resistance is high against black spot and mildew, so the foliage holds through humid summers with no spray program. Cut back by about a third in late winter. Shipped on its own roots.

Planting and Care Guide

Planting Tips

Plant in well-drained soil. Dig a hole twice as wide as the root ball. Space 2–3 feet apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch 2–3 inches deep, keeping mulch away from the canes.

Care Tips

Water deeply and regularly the first season. No deadheading required- blooms continuously from spring to frost. Prune back by one-third in early spring. Fertilize with a balanced rose fertilizer in spring and midsummer. Outstanding disease resistance. Monitor for black spot and aphids. Apricot Drift® produces warm, soft, apricot-peach flowers in a gentle, glowing tone- a particularly elegant and refined color in the Drift series. The same compact, spreading, ground-covering habit and exceptional ease of care as all Drift roses.
