Pairs well with

Fluffy double flowers open apricot and fade to pink, covering the plant in clusters that carry several shades at once. Rosa 'BAIypso', sold as Easy Elegance® Calypso, grows 24 to 30 inches tall and wide in full sun, hardy from Zone 5 through Zone 9.

Bloom starts in early summer and continues until frost.

Most of the Easy Elegance roses come from the renowned breeder Ping Lim, aimed at putting hybrid tea flower quality on a plant that survives a northern winter without a spray program. They grow on their own roots rather than grafted, so a plant killed back in a hard winter comes back as itself. Pruning is a cutback in early spring and nothing more.

The low spreading habit and compact size make it a good choice for a container, a low hedge, or the front edge of a bed.

Planting and Care Guide

Planting Tips

Plant in well-drained, fertile soil. Dig a hole twice as wide as the root ball. Space 3–4 feet apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch 2–3 inches deep, keeping mulch away from the canes.

Care Tips

Water deeply and consistently throughout the season. Deadhead spent blooms for continuous flowering. Prune in early spring to remove dead or weak canes. Fertilize with a rose fertilizer in spring and after each bloom flush. Good disease resistance. Monitor for black spot and aphids. The beautifully formed flowers in warm tones are fragrant and produced reliably over a long season. A dependable, low-maintenance shrub rose with excellent landscape performance.
