Pairs well with

Single cherry-red flowers shading toward hot pink, blooming without pause from spring to the first hard frost. Rosa 'Radrazz' is the original Knock Out® Rose, introduced in 2000 and the plant that started a family now eleven varieties deep. It grows 3 to 4 feet tall and wide in full sun, hardy from Zone 5 through Zone 11.

Bloom is continuous from spring until the first hard frost. The flowers are self-cleaning, so no deadheading, and there is a subtle sweet scent up close.

Knock Out roses were bred for disease resistance first. They hold clean foliage through humid summers with no fungicide, bloom continuously without deadheading, and need nothing beyond a hard cutback in early spring. That combination is why they took over the landscape trade.

New growth emerges with a purple cast before maturing to deep green, and the open single flowers let bees reach the pollen. It handles drought, heat, and poor soil once established. Cut the whole plant back by about a third in early spring to keep it dense. Shipped on its own roots.

Planting and Care Guide

Planting Tips

Plant in well-drained soil. Dig a hole twice as wide as the root ball. Space 3–4 feet apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch 2–3 inches deep, keeping mulch away from the canes.

Care Tips

Water deeply and regularly the first season. No deadheading required- the original Knock Out rose self-cleans and blooms continuously from spring to frost. Prune back by one-third in early spring to shape and remove dead wood. Fertilize with a balanced rose fertilizer in spring and midsummer. Outstanding disease resistance makes this one of the lowest-maintenance roses available. Monitor for black spot and rose sawfly. The cherry-red flowers and red-tinted new foliage are classic and reliably attractive.
