Pairs well with

Petite Knock Out® stays about 18 inches tall and wide, small enough for a container or the front edge of a bed while carrying the same fire-engine red flowers the line is known for. Rosa 'Meibenbino' grows in full sun, hardy from Zone 4 through Zone 10.

Bloom is continuous from spring to frost, and spent flowers drop cleanly on their own so there is no deadheading.

This is the miniature in the Knock Out family, and the flowers are correspondingly small, which reads as a dense scatter of red rather than a few large blooms.

Disease resistance is what the Knock Out roses are known for, and this one holds clean foliage through humid summers with no fungicide. Cut back by about a third in early spring to keep it dense. Shipped on its own roots.

Planting and Care Guide

Planting Tips

Plant in well-drained soil. Dig a hole twice as wide as the root ball. Space 18–24 inches apart- this is the most compact Knock Out available. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch 2–3 inches deep, keeping mulch away from the canes.

Care Tips

Water deeply and regularly the first season. No deadheading required for continuous bloom from spring to frost. Prune back by one-third in early spring. Fertilize with a balanced rose fertilizer in spring and midsummer. Outstanding disease resistance. Monitor for black spot and rose sawfly. At roughly half the size of the original Knock Out, Petite Knock Out is perfect for smaller spaces, containers, and low border edges while delivering the same carefree, continuous performance.
