Pairs well with

Double flowers open with creamy yellow centers and pink outer petals, then turn fully pink as they mature, so a plant in bloom carries both stages. Rosa 'BAIbox', sold as Easy Elegance® Music Box, grows 3 to 5 feet tall and 3 to 4 feet wide in full sun, hardy from Zone 4 through Zone 9.

The flowers are about two inches across, carried in clusters through summer and fall, and they are fragrant.

Most of the Easy Elegance roses come from the renowned breeder Ping Lim, aimed at putting hybrid tea flower quality on a plant that survives a northern winter without a spray program. They grow on their own roots rather than grafted, so a plant killed back in a hard winter comes back as itself. Pruning is a cutback in early spring and nothing more.

The habit is upright and dense with many branches, and the glossy medium green foliage resists disease.

Planting and Care Guide

Planting Tips

Plant in well-drained, fertile soil. Dig a hole twice as wide as the root ball. Space 3–4 feet apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch 2–3 inches deep, keeping mulch away from the canes.

Care Tips

Water deeply and regularly throughout the season. Deadhead spent blooms for continuous flowering. Prune in early spring to remove dead or weak canes and shape. Fertilize with a rose fertilizer in spring and after each bloom flush. Good disease resistance. Monitor for black spot and aphids. The beautifully formed flowers in warm, blended tones are fragrant and produced reliably over a long season. A charming, romantic shrub rose with excellent garden performance.
