Rambling Red Climbing Rose

Plant in well-drained, fertile soil. Dig a hole twice as wide as the root ball. Provide a very sturdy support structure- this is a vigorous climber. Space 8–12 feet apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch 2–3 inches deep, keeping mulch away from the canes.

Water deeply and regularly throughout the season. Train new canes onto the support structure as they develop- tying horizontal canes encourages more blooms along the length of each cane. Prune after the main flush of flowering, removing the oldest canes and tying in vigorous new growth for next year's blooms. Fertilize with a rose fertilizer in spring and midsummer. Monitor for black spot and powdery mildew. The clusters of small, vivid red flowers are produced in abundance in a spectacular seasonal display.
