Sweet Drift® Rose carries clusters of clear pink double flowers, a clean true pink without the coral or salmon undertones the other pinks in the line lean toward. Rosa 'Meiswetdom' grows about 18 inches tall and spreads 2.5 feet in full sun, hardy from Zone 4 through Zone 11.
Bloom is continuous and heavy from mid-spring until frost, and the flowers drop cleanly so no deadheading is needed.
Drift roses are a cross between full-size groundcover roses and miniature roses, bred to stay low and spread wide while blooming continuously. They were developed to fill the awkward spots: hillsides, narrow strips along a walk, the front edge of a bed, containers. All of them are self-cleaning, disease resistant, and need no deadheading.
The habit is compact and mounding with glossy foliage filling to the ground. Disease resistance is exceptional even by Drift standards, so the foliage holds clean through humid summers with no spray program. Cut back by about a third in late winter. Shipped on its own roots.
