New Hampshire Cranesbill Geranium

Plant in spring or fall in moist, well-drained to average soil in partial shade to full sun, spacing 18–24 inches apart. New Hampshire cranesbill produces deep magenta-pink flowers with darker veining over an attractive, deeply cut foliage mound. It adapts to a range of conditions and is notably cold-hardy. Incorporate compost into the planting area and water well.

Cut back after the main bloom flush in early summer to encourage a second flush of flowers and fresh foliage growth. Divide every three to four years in spring. No heavy fertilizing is needed. New Hampshire's excellent cold hardiness and deep magenta flower color make it a valuable cranesbill for northern gardens. Attractive fall foliage adds a second season of interest. A reliable, easy-care perennial for mixed borders.
