Island Breeze Hosta

Plant in spring or fall in moist, humus-rich soil in partial to full shade, spacing 24–30 inches apart. Island Breeze is a vigorous, medium-large hosta with wide, yellow-green to golden leaves with blue-green margins — a striking, reverse-variegation pattern that is the opposite of most hostas. Incorporate compost into the planting area and water well. Mulch generously to retain moisture.

Keep soil consistently moist throughout the growing season. Remove tattered or slug-damaged leaves as needed. Divide every four to five years in spring. Fertilize lightly in spring.
