Planting Tips

Plant in fertile, well-drained soil in full sun. Space 12–18 inches apart. Plant the rhizome shallowly- the top should be at or just barely below the soil surface, exposed to sun.

Care Tips

Water regularly after planting. Once established, bearded iris is quite drought tolerant. Divide clumps every 3–4 years in mid-to-late summer. After dividing, replant with tops of rhizomes exposed. Watch for iris borer- remove and destroy affected rhizomes promptly. Remove foliage in late fall. Fertilize lightly in spring and after bloom. Jurassic Park produces dramatic, large flowers with a prehistoric, bold character- deep, richly colored flowers worthy of their dramatic name. An eye-catching selection for the spring iris border.
