Planting Tips

Plant in moist, well-drained, humus-rich soil. Space 18–24 inches apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch 2–3 inches deep.

Care Tips

Water consistently throughout the season. Hellebores prefer reliably moist, cool conditions in partial to full shade. Cut back the previous year's foliage in late winter to make way for new flowers and leaves. Divide clumps every 4–5 years in late summer. Fertilize lightly in spring. Anna's Red produces deep, rich red flowers with excellent substance and attractive dark foliage. Lenten roses are deer resistant, slug resistant, and largely pest-free- remarkably trouble-free once established in the right conditions.
