Planting Tips

Plant in moist, well-drained soil amended with compost. Space 2–3 feet apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch 2–3 inches deep, keeping mulch away from the stems.

Care Tips

Water deeply and regularly the first two seasons; moderately drought tolerant once established. Holds a naturally neat, rounded form with minimal pruning. A light trim in late spring is usually sufficient. Fertilize in early spring with a balanced slow-release fertilizer. Monitor for boxwood leafminer and boxwood blight. Good air circulation and proper sanitation are the best defenses against disease. An excellent low-maintenance boxwood for formal and informal gardens alike.
