Planting Tips

Plant in spring or fall in average to moist, well-drained soil. Space 2–3 feet apart. Water thoroughly after planting.

Care Tips

Water regularly after planting; moderately drought tolerant once established. Cut back to within a few inches of the ground in early spring before new growth emerges- do not cut back in fall, as standing foliage and plumes provide winter interest. Divide every 3–4 years in spring when the center begins to die out.
