Planting Tips

Plant in spring in fertile, well-drained, compost-enriched soil. Space 18–24 inches apart. Stake tall stems in spring before they become unwieldy. Water thoroughly after planting.

Care Tips

Water deeply and regularly throughout the growing season- delphiniums should not dry out during active growth. After the first main spike finishes blooming, cut back to where side shoots are developing for a possible second flush in late summer. Feed with a balanced fertilizer through the season. Watch for slugs on young growth and powdery mildew in late summer. Cut to the ground in late fall.
