Baby Joe Pye Weed

Plant in spring or fall in moist, average soil, spacing 18–24 inches apart. Baby Joe is a compact, dwarf Joe Pye weed — significantly smaller than the standard species — bringing the same butterfly-attracting, rose-purple flowers to smaller garden spaces. It adapts to average to moist conditions without special preparation. Water regularly for the first few weeks after planting.

Cut back by about one-half in late spring to encourage a bushier, more compact plant. Cut to the ground in late fall or early spring. Divide every three to four years in spring to maintain vigor.
