Planting Tips

Plant in spring or fall in well-drained to dry soil in full sun, spacing 18–24 inches apart. Ascot Rainbow is an exceptionally ornamental spurge with variegated foliage in shades of green, yellow, and pink — the pink tones intensifying in spring and fall. Bright yellow-green flower bracts in spring are an additional ornamental feature. It requires excellent drainage. No soil amendment needed.

Care Tips

Cut back by one-half after the spring bloom to encourage compact, bushy new growth. Avoid getting milky sap on skin or eyes — all spurges produce irritating latex sap. Very drought tolerant once established. No fertilizing needed. The extraordinary, multicolored variegated foliage provides outstanding all-season interest. Fall colors are particularly vivid. Ascot Rainbow is one of the most ornamental hardy spurges available — a striking foliage plant for hot, dry sunny gardens.
