Care Tips

Water consistently throughout the season; moderate drought tolerance once established. Cut to the ground in late fall or early spring. Divide every 3–4 years in spring. No regular fertilization needed. Largely pest-free. JoJo is a compact, dwarf Joe Pye weed that stays under 3 feet- far more manageable than the species, which can reach 6–8 feet. The large, mauve-pink flower heads in late summer are outstanding for monarchs and native bees. All the native pollinator value of standard Joe Pye weed in a far more garden-friendly size.
