Sugar Buzz® Blue Moon Bee Balm

Plant in moist, well-drained soil amended with compost. Space 18–24 inches apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch lightly around the base. Good air circulation at planting time helps reduce powdery mildew later.

Water regularly throughout the growing season. Deadhead spent flowers to encourage continued bloom and prevent excessive self-seeding. Cut back to the ground in late fall or early spring. Divide every 2–3 years in spring when the center of the clump begins to die out- this also helps reduce mildew by improving air circulation. Monitor for powdery mildew in late summer; this variety has improved resistance compared to older bee balms. Highly attractive to hummingbirds and butterflies.
