Planting Tips

Plant in moist, well-drained, slightly acidic to neutral soil amended with compost. Space 4–5 feet apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch 2–3 inches deep.

Care Tips

Water consistently after planting, especially during the first season. Once established it is moderately drought tolerant. Little pruning is needed to maintain the naturally mounding, compact form. If light shaping is desired, trim in late spring. Fertilize lightly in spring with a balanced fertilizer. The multi-colored foliage- splashed with cream, yellow, pink, and green- is most vivid in some sun. Largely pest-free. A striking evergreen for year-round foliage interest in the garden.
