Pristine Lilac Purple Beardtongue

Plant in average to lean, well-drained soil. Space 12–18 inches apart. Water thoroughly after planting. Lean soil and good drainage are key requirements for long-term success.

Water regularly after planting; established plants are quite drought tolerant. Deadhead spent flower spikes to encourage rebloom. Cut back to the basal foliage rosette in late fall. Divide every 3–4 years in spring. Largely pest-free and deer resistant. The soft lilac-purple tubular flowers combine beautifully with golden yellows and warm oranges in the border. Highly attractive to hummingbirds and bumblebees.
