Silver Dollar® Blueberry

Plant in moist, well-drained, acidic soil (pH 4.0–5.0). Space 4–5 feet apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch 3–4 inches deep. Plant with another variety for best fruit production.

Water deeply and consistently throughout the growing season. Fertilize in early and late spring with an acid fertilizer. Never add lime. Prune out the oldest canes in late winter to encourage vigorous new fruiting wood. Silver Dollar is a Southern highbush type valued for its large, firm, flavorful berries. Net plants at ripening to protect berries from birds. The white flowers in spring and vivid fall foliage add ornamental value beyond the fruit.
