Planting Tips

Plant in moist, well-drained soil enriched with organic matter. Space 12–18 inches apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch around the base.

Care Tips

Water consistently, especially during the first season and summer heat- the scalloped, velvety leaves collect water droplets beautifully when conditions are right. Cut back the entire plant to the ground after flowering in early summer to encourage a fresh flush of foliage and prevent excessive self-seeding. The plant will re-flush quickly with attractive new leaves. Divide every 3–4 years in spring. Largely pest-free. The frothy, chartreuse-yellow flowers are excellent as a filler in arrangements.
