Planting Tips

Plant in moist, well-drained, humus-rich soil. Space 18–24 inches apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch lightly around the base.

Care Tips

Water consistently throughout the growing season. September Charm spreads by underground runners to form colonies over time- divide every 3–4 years in early spring to manage the spread and refresh the planting. Cut back dead stems in late fall or early spring. In colder climates, mulch over the planting after the ground freezes to insulate roots. Largely pest-free. The soft, single pink flowers on tall, branching stems are exceptionally graceful in the late summer and fall border.
