Planting and Care Guide

Planting Tips

Plant in moist, well-drained soil. Space 18–24 inches apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch lightly. Helenium adapts to moist and wet conditions.

Care Tips

Water consistently throughout the growing season- sneezeweed prefers reliable moisture and declines in dry soil. Pinch or cut stems back by about half in late spring to early summer to encourage a compact, bushy plant with more flowers and reduce the need for staking. Deadhead spent blooms for continuous flowering from midsummer into fall. Cut to the ground in late fall. Divide every 2–3 years in spring. Excellent for pollinators and cutting. The warm yellow and bronze daisy flowers in late summer are vivid and long-lasting.
