Dancing Queen Hosta

Plant in spring or fall in moist, humus-rich soil in partial to full shade, spacing 24–30 inches apart. Dancing Queen is a vigorous, medium-large hosta with bright, golden-yellow leaves that hold their color well throughout the season. It provides outstanding golden color in the shade garden when many hostas turn green by summer. Incorporate compost into the planting area and water well. Mulch generously.

Keep soil consistently moist throughout the growing season. Remove tattered or slug-damaged leaves as needed. Divide every four to five years in spring. Fertilize lightly in spring. The persistently golden-yellow foliage makes Dancing Queen one of the most reliably bright hostas for providing sustained color in the shade garden. Lavender flowers in summer are a bonus. A vigorous, reliable hosta that improves with each passing year as the clump develops.
