Planting Tips

Plant in moist, well-drained, humus-rich soil. Space 24–36 inches apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch 2–3 inches deep.

Care Tips

Water consistently throughout the season. Monitor for slugs and snails. Cut back all foliage in late fall after frost. Divide every 4–5 years in spring if desired. Fertilize lightly in spring. Diamond Lake has intensely blue, heavily corrugated, deeply puckered foliage with outstanding substance and texture- the bold, waxy leaf surface reflects light and holds its steel-blue color exceptionally well through the season.
