Plant in moist, well-drained, humus-rich soil. Space 18–24 inches apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch 2–3 inches deep.

Water consistently throughout the season. Monitor for slugs and snails, especially in moist conditions. The bold dark green leaves with a wide, irregular white margin are a classic combination that holds up well through the season. Cut back all foliage in late fall. Divide every 4–5 years in spring if desired. Fertilize lightly in spring. One of the most reliable and widely planted hostas available- dependable, adaptable, and consistently attractive.
