Tambourine Hosta

Plant in moist, well-drained, humus-rich soil. Space 24–30 inches apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch 2–3 inches deep.

Water consistently throughout the season. Monitor for slugs and snails, especially in wet conditions. The wide, golden-yellow margin on the dark green leaves is bold and attractive throughout the season. Cut back all foliage in late fall after frost. Divide every 4–5 years in spring if desired. Fertilize lightly in spring. A medium-large hosta with a striking, high-contrast variegation pattern that provides excellent long-season interest in shaded and partially shaded borders.
