Candy Stripe Moss Phlox

Plant in average to lean, well-drained to dry soil. Space 12–18 inches apart. Water thoroughly after planting. Excellent drainage is essential — moss phlox will not tolerate wet or poorly drained soil.

Water regularly after planting; once established it is quite drought tolerant. Shear back by one-third immediately after flowering to maintain a compact, tidy mound and encourage dense new growth — skipping this step results in an open, woody center over time. No fertilization generally needed. Largely pest-free and deer resistant. Candy Stripe produces charming, bi-colored flowers with white petals striped in soft pink — a delightful, candy-like pattern that completely covers the fine, needle-like, evergreen foliage in early spring. The evergreen foliage provides attractive year-round groundcover texture between bloom periods.
