Silverrod / White Goldenrod

Plant in average to lean, well-drained to dry soil. Space 18–24 inches apart. Water thoroughly after planting. Lean, dry conditions produce the best, most compact growth.

Water regularly after planting; once established it is highly drought tolerant. Cut to the ground in late fall or early spring. Divide every 3–4 years in spring. No fertilization needed. Unlike most goldenrods, silverrod produces white flowers in late summer- a rare and distinctive quality among native asters. It is an excellent choice for those who love native goldenrods but want something beyond the standard yellow. Largely pest-free and deer resistant. A refined, less aggressive native goldenrod.
