Plant Shadblow Serviceberry in well-drained, acidic to neutral soil with full sun to partial shade. Space plants 10-15 feet apart. Water regularly, especially during dry spells, to establish roots. Fertilize in early spring with a balanced fertilizer. Prune in late winter to maintain shape and remove dead or crossing branches. Protect from deer and rabbits if necessary.
