Planting Tips

Plant in moist, well-drained, humus-rich soil. Space 18–24 inches apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch generously.

Care Tips

Water consistently throughout the season- anemone prefers reliable moisture. Japanese anemone spreads by rhizomes over time- divide every 3–4 years in spring to control spread. Cut to the ground in late fall. Fertilize lightly in spring. Japanese anemone is slow to establish but long-lived once settled- do not disturb unnecessarily. Sweetly produces semi-double, soft pink flowers on tall, graceful stems in late summer and fall- one of the most elegant late-season perennials available. Largely pest-free.
