Planting and Care Guide

Planting Tips

Plant in moist, well-drained soil enriched with organic matter. Space 12–15 inches apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch lightly.

Care Tips

Water regularly during the first season and through spring bloom. Deadhead to prolong bloom, allowing some seed pods to mature for self-sowing. Cut foliage back as it declines in summer. Divide every 3–4 years in early spring if needed. Watch for leaf miners. The bright yellow flowers are cheerful and vivid in the spring border and combine particularly well with blue and purple companions. Largely deer resistant.
