Planting Tips

Plant in moist to wet, humus-rich, slightly acidic soil. Space 12–15 inches apart- this is one of the more compact astilbe varieties. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch 2–3 inches deep to retain moisture.

Care Tips

Water deeply and consistently throughout the growing season- astilbe declines quickly in dry soil. Never allow the soil to dry out completely during active growth. Fertilize in spring and after flowering with a balanced slow-release fertilizer. Divide every 3–4 years in spring or fall when the center of the clump begins to die out. A late-blooming, dwarf astilbe with pink-lavender plumes- excellent for the front of a shaded border.
