Planting and Care Guide

Planting Tips

Plant in spring or fall, spacing 4–5 feet apart to allow for its larger mature size. Dig the planting hole wide and shallow — never deeper than the root ball. Water well at planting and mulch generously around the base. Keep soil consistently moist during the first growing season.

Care Tips

Prune lightly after new growth emerges in spring to maintain shape and encourage dense growth. Heritage's blight resistance means far less worry about the disease issues that plague traditional boxwoods. Water during hot, dry periods. Fertilize in early spring with a slow-release balanced fertilizer.
