Planting Tips

Plant in lean, well-drained, acidic soil (pH 4.5–6.0). Space 12–18 inches apart. Water thoroughly after planting. Excellent drainage is essential.

Care Tips

Water regularly after planting; once established it is quite drought tolerant. Shear lightly after flowering to maintain a compact, tidy form. Do not cut into old, leafless wood. Fertilize lightly in spring with an acid fertilizer. Blazeaway is particularly notable for vivid, golden-orange to red foliage color in winter- the blazing winter foliage is as ornamental as the summer flowers. The fine, evergreen foliage transitions through warm tones in cold weather for outstanding seasonal interest. Largely pest-free and deer resistant.
