Plant in average to lean, well-drained soil. Space 3–4 feet apart. Water thoroughly after planting. Good drainage is important.

Care Tips

Water regularly after planting; once established it is quite drought tolerant. Cut back hard to within 6–8 inches of the ground in early spring- butterfly bush blooms on new wood and this annual pruning is essential for compact growth and abundant bloom. Fertilize lightly in spring. Miss Violet produces deep violet-purple flower cones over a very long season on a compact, well-proportioned plant. A sterile, non-invasive selection. Irresistible to butterflies. Largely pest-free.
