Planting Tips

Plant in moist, well-drained, slightly acidic soil amended with compost. Space 18–24 inches apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch 2–3 inches deep, keeping mulch away from the stems.

Care Tips

Water deeply and regularly the first two seasons; moderately drought tolerant once established. This is one of the smallest boxwoods available and holds a very tidy, rounded form with almost no pruning. A light trim in late spring is usually sufficient to maintain perfect shape. Fertilize in early spring with a balanced slow-release fertilizer. Monitor for boxwood leafminer and boxwood blight. Good air circulation helps reduce disease pressure.
