Planting Tips

Plant in average, well-drained soil. Space 3–4 feet apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch 2–3 inches deep, keeping mulch away from the base.

Care Tips

Water deeply and regularly the first two seasons; once established it is moderately drought tolerant. Prune lightly in late spring to maintain shape. Good air circulation reduces boxwood blight pressure. Monitor closely for boxwood blight and boxwood leafminer- NewGen Freedom® is bred for significantly improved resistance to both. Fertilize lightly in early spring. An outstanding, more disease-resistant boxwood for hedges, formal shapes, and foundation plantings. Largely otherwise pest-free.
