Planting Tips

Plant in spring or fall in average, well-drained soil. Tolerates rocky and lean soils well. Space 12–18 inches apart. Water thoroughly after planting.

Care Tips

Water regularly after planting; once established it has moderate drought tolerance. After the main flush of bloom, shear the plant back by about half to remove spent flowers and tidy the sprawling stems- this often triggers a second flush of bloom. Divide every 2–3 years in spring or fall to control spread and maintain vigor. Watch for slugs in moist conditions. A wonderfully carefree plant for slopes, walls, and the front of borders.
