Care Tips

Water regularly after planting; once established it is quite drought tolerant. Little maintenance is needed- Canby's mountain lover is a naturally low, spreading, semi-evergreen to evergreen groundcover that requires essentially no pruning. The small, glossy, dark green leaves turn attractive reddish-purple tones in winter, providing year-round interest. Fertilize lightly in spring if desired. Largely pest-free and deer resistant. A tough, beautiful, and underused native groundcover for dry shade and difficult sites.
