Plumbago

Plant in average to lean, well-drained soil. Space 18–24 inches apart. Water thoroughly after planting. Plumbago is adaptable and thrives in lean conditions- avoid overly rich or wet soils.

Water regularly after planting; once established it has good drought tolerance. In colder climates, cut back to the ground in late fall after frost- new growth emerges reliably from the roots in spring. In warmer climates it may remain semi-evergreen. Divide every 3–4 years in spring. Largely pest-free and deer resistant. The vivid, clear blue flowers are produced over a very long season from midsummer into fall and are outstanding for the front of a sunny border.
