Planting Tips

Plant in moist, well-drained, slightly acidic soil. Space 3–5 feet apart. Water thoroughly after planting and mulch 2–3 inches deep.

Care Tips

Water deeply and regularly the first 2–3 seasons; once established it is moderately drought tolerant. Vintage Gold has a naturally rounded to broadly conical form with vivid, golden-yellow foliage that holds its warm color throughout the growing season. Minimal pruning is needed to maintain the natural form. Fertilize lightly in spring. Monitor for spider mites in hot, dry conditions. The golden foliage brightens the winter landscape with warm color year-round. Largely otherwise pest-free. An excellent, low-maintenance golden conifer for year-round interest.
